mulled wine

Xmas Mulled Wine

With Christmas fast approaching thoughts turn (at least in my mind) to eating drinking and being merry!
I love all the food we have over the festive period, roast turkey, sage herb stuffing, pigs in blankets, gravy, mince pies, Christmas pud! …..sorry got a bit carried away!
But I also love the drinks! The most Christmassy of all I think is mulled wine. I know you can buy it ready-made in bottles but there is nothing more satisfying than making it yourself - especially when your drinking it!

I did a bit of research and came up with a Mrs Beeton Classic, apparently the idea of mulled wine originates in Germany but if there is such a thing as traditionally English mulled wine then this must be it. You can’t beat Mrs Beeton can you its a goody! ENJOY!
